How to Curate the Perfect Menu

Curating a perfect menu for you event can be delicious and fun, but it can also be difficult to narrow it down and mix and match everything with all the food and drink options available. Food is such an essential part of every event and trying to balance your budget with guests’ palates can be overwhelming.

Set a Budget

Food for events can get expensive quickly, so be sure you know what budget you have to work with. This allows your caterer to understand the scope of your event, from a budget perspective, and can then make recommendations accordingly.

Customize It

What is the theme of your event? Is there something you want to highlight, such as a culture, a type of food or a place? Most of all, what are your favorite foods? Use your theme, your preferences and any other notable factors to help guide your caterer into what would be best suited for all taste buds involved.

Experiential & Entertaining

Can your guests feast with their eyes first? Will the smell entice your guests’ noses? What ingredients can you use to spark all the senses? Play with color on your plates or stack the food in fun ways. Do you want bite sizes or entrée portions? The possibilities are endless. Always keep in mind that your food should lead your guest through a culinary journey.

Add Your Signature

A signature food, drink or dessert really adds the extra touch to your event. It also allows you to personalize it and share your or the event’s personality with others. Even more fun you can play off of classic drinks and dessert and come up with catchy names.
